If you want to build and create every aspect of your park the game’s got you covered. While these are welcome we wish there was some sort of in-game tutorial to assist the player in the first few hours of the game. There is the previously mentioned Career mode that gives you tips and the game also has tutorial videos. Our main criticism of Planet Coaster is that learning how to play the game isn’t exactly straightforward. From the incredibly infectious feel good main theme track to the large amount of included songs that can be played to your park’s visitors, there’s something here for everyone and every ride. The visuals, while not mind blowing, are nice and clean. The presentation of Planet Coaster is fantastic. But it’s there if you’re into that kind of stuff. Meaning that if you’re like us, and you don’t want to dive in too deep into the nitty-gritty parts of the game, you don’t have too. The amount of enjoyment you’ll get out of this amount of customisation is down to your individual tastes but we were relieved to find out that players can upload and download rides, buildings and props to the Steam Workshop. From the terrain and roller coasters all the way down to individual restaurants and rest rooms.Īt first glance this can be daunting, placing a basic burger bar down in your park to realise that you’re the one who needs to add each individual light, sign and prop is great at first but for DESIblitz this got tiresome the more we played. Planet Coaster allows for extreme amounts of customisation.
